An extraordinary faerie tale of magic and mystery, romance and danger, described by Stephenie Meyer as ‘a remarkable debut’. Laurel is an ordinary fifteen-year-old high school girl. But something incredible is happening to her. She is changing. Now Laurel is about to discover that a deep and powerful magic holds the key to her destiny.
To be honest I thought Wings was only okay. Laurel was a rather unlikable character. The only character that really made me want to keep reading was David and of course he’s in the middle of the dreaded love triangle.
I’m going to have to take a break from YA’s or something because the love triangle is starting to annoy me. How ’bout you? I love series where the main character just loves one person and we actually get to see the relationship grow instead of ‘I can’t decide’. Sorry I went off on a little rant there…
On the plus side, the author had a fresh take on the Fae that I enjoyed. If there is a second book, I think there will be, I’ll give it a chance. 3 Stars.
