With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgment.
But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora’s not sure who to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is, and to know more about her than her closest friends. She can’t decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.
For Nora is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen – and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost her life.
Nora was just trying to live a normal life after her father’s death. She just wanted to get good grades and go to an ivy league collage. When her teacher gives her a new biology partner all that is about to change.
Patch is mysterious and even a little frightening but Nora feels oddly drawn to him. Which feeling should Nora trust? The one telling her to to get as far as possible from Patch or the one saying, get a little closer?
I feel very lucky to have gotten a ARC of Hush, Hush because it was fantastic! In a genre crowded with books about the supernatural Ms. Fitzpatrick managed to not only write a very original story but to do it beautifully.
Most of my favorite books, and I’m sure I’m not alone in this, are the ones that not only make me fall in love with the characters but also the setting. Coldwater, Maine seems like a deary and but beautiful place and just the kind of place to find a fallen angel. Coldwater really came to life for me with it’s fog and rain.
If I loved the setting that much then I loved Patch even more. Patch…what can I say? I loved him. I even loved that he was a jerk, but I have always had a thing for the bad boys in books. He wasn’t perfect and that’s what made it perfect in my opinion. Becca did a great job of making us all fall for Patch. Another guy to swoon over! I can’t wait to find out more about him.
From the very first page here was lots of great suspense and mystery. Not only about Patch but a number of other things. Hush, Hush was not predictable like so many young adult novels tend to be. It kept me guessing until the very last chapter. It was even a little creepy at times. That made me love it even more.
When this book is released in October I suggest you guys run right out and get it because Becca Fitzpatrick has created a beautiful tale full of characters to love. After October we will all be waiting in anticipation for a sequel. 4.5 Stars.
