Only two weeks ago, life was all too predictable. But that was before I saw my first ghost. Now, along with my supernatural friends Tori, Derek, and Simon, I’m on the run from the Edison Group, which genetically altered us as part of their sinister experiment. We’re hiding in a safe house that might not be as safe as it seems. We’ll be gone soon anyway, back to rescue those we’d left behind and to take out the Edison Group . . . or so we hope.

Darkest Powers is one of my favorite series! I was a little sad to see it go but it did not disappoint. I’m also happy to hear that we will be seeing more of Chloe in the future, in other trilogies.
The Reckoning by Kelley Armstrong starts off right where The Awakening left us hanging. I don’t think it was as action packed as the first two but I enjoyed it all the same. The tension builds to a boiling point by the end of the book. A lot of questions were answered but I still have a few and a lot of problems were resolved but not all of them. That’s why I hope we get to see a lot of Chloe in the upcoming trilogy.
I’ve been team Derek from the start so this book made me very happy. Hope I didn’t ruin that for you but I did warn you about spoilers! Also how could you not see it coming?
Chloe had some major character development over the course of the three books. She grew up the hard way. I’ve grown to love all of these characters and I felt that we left them in a good spot but I do seriously still have some unanswered questions!
All in all if you are a fan of the supernatural Darkest Powers is the series for you. There is no over the top romance and it’s filled with creepy action. A must read!
