I'm going with the Gilmore Girls….even though I know almost everything related to that show is really just a pop culture reference to something else.
I did a Google search and the first thing that came up was the Nat King Cole song…so I will go with that. This is a summer song and a contest where the book will be a summer release unless we choose a book from October then it will be a fall release.

Ever since I read the title, I have had the barbershop chorus from Gilmore Girls singing it in my head, so that's my guess of where the name came from.
Lazy Hazy Crazy Days of Summer came from the idea that the hot days of summer are a time for relaxing and reading and because crazy things have been known to occur due to the heat.
I would have to say its from my favorite show Gilmore Girls as I'm rewatching the series currently and I swear I heard it in a few episodes ago.
