They’ve gotten good grades – but that’s not good enough. They’ve spent hours on community service – but that’s not good enough. Finn and Chloe’s advisor says that colleges have enough kids with good grades and perfect attendance, so Chloe decides they’ll have to attract attention another way. She and Finn will stage Chloe’s disappearance, and then, when CNN is on their doorstep and the nation is riveted, Finn will find and save her. It seems like the perfect plan – until things start to go wrong. Very wrong
Accomplice by Eireann Corrigan is a gripping edge of your seat book that you will have a difficult time putting down. Finn and Chloe have the perfect plan to get into a good collage. No, it’s not good grade. They have learned those aren’t enough. No, their plan is going to make them famous. They are staging Chloe’s kidnapping. They have planned everything down to the very last detail, but executing it is going to be more difficult than Finn ever dreamed.
Accomplice is a very compelling read. As soon as I started it I had to know how it ended. Prepare to read this quickly! The tension and fear of getting caught is a boiling under current throughout the book. The story is told from Finn’s prospective and she realizes very early on that they have made a mistake, but Chloe won’t let her back out.
The characters were very well done. Finn seemed very realistic, after you past the planning a kidnapping thing. I went back and forth for awhile on my rating for this book. I didn’t know if I wanted to give it 3 stars or 4, because while the story was great, I really disliked Finn and Chloe. I finally decided that 4 stars is more appropriate. These girls are deceiving everyone, you aren’t supposed to like them. You are just a long for the ride.
Overall, Accomplic is definitely worth your time. The writing is superb and you will be on the edge of your seat!
