My name is Meaghan Chase.
I thought it was over. That my time with the fey, the impossible choices I had to make, the sacrifices of those I loved, was behind me. But a storm is approaching, an army of Iron fey that will drag me back, kicking and screaming. Drag me away from the banished prince who’s sworn to stay by my side. Drag me into the core of a conflict so powerful, I’m not sure anyone can survive it.
This time, there will be no turning back.
I’ve been with this series since The Iron King first came out. I devoured every word and I’ve been Team Puck all the way. This is another enchanting installment in The Iron Fey series and even though its the end of Meghan’s story it will leave you wanting more.
First, I have to get something off my chest, I didn’t like The Iron Queen as much as the first two. I know! I’m sorry! I just didn’t! The pace in the first half was really slow and it didn’t keep my attention. I actually finished two other books while I was reading this, I never do that. But after the first half of the book it was back to the action that I have grown to love with this series!
I’m having a hard time talking about the contents of this book without saying something spoilery. Let me just say that Meghan’s development as a character was extraordinary. I loved the progression of her relationship with Ash, even though I like Puck better…Just saying!
The ending of The Iron Queen by Julie Kagawa will not leave you disappointed. This series is a must read for any fans of the fey. I’m still in awe of Julie’s take on the world of Faerie and I can’t wait to read more!
