The first week on Potter-Thon has come to an end. I reread The Sorcerer’s Stone at the beginning of the week and here are some of my thoughts about the second time through:
I reread Deathly Hallows in November, so grown-up Harry is really stuck in my mind. I think its easy to forget that he was once just a little guy that didn’t know a thing about being a wizard. So, I quite enjoying seeing fresh faced Harry again. When the biggest worry he had was Draco Malfoy or Ms. Norris catching him in the halls at night.
It was also great to pick up on some little details that play a big role later. Oh and I had completely forgotten that Harry, Ron and Hermione didn’t start off as fast friends. Hermione was a big know it all! And even a little annoying. That’s not at all how she turned out in the end.
I also suggest that if you are a huge fan of the series to get the collectors edition (pictured above) It is so nice!
Julia at That Hapa Chick had The Sorcerer’s Stone in her mailbox last week and had just started reading it! I can’t wait to hear what she thinks about it!
Anne at Creativity’s Corner has finished rereading The Sorcerer’s (Philosopher’s) Stone! She has her review up! Go check it out!
Megan at Reading for Refuge has already read the first two books! For the first time!! Isn’t that exciting!? She has her thoughts on both up! So, go pay her a visit.
Candace from Candace’s Book Blog read The Sorcerer’s Stone this week and she posted her thoughts Here!
Mommy Wants to Read shared the story of how she came to love Harry Potter.
Martina from Love of Books has also reread the first two books this last week. She has her thoughts about both books up!
Rhiannon from From the Trees read The Philosopher’s (its still weird for me to call it that, even though we are the only country that doesn’t!) Stone
