There are some new and exciting things happening with Blogger and some of you may not even know about it, so I wanted to do a little post with some tips and and how to’s.
First up, the new Blogger interface in up in Blogger in Draft. I’ve been excited about this since they announced it last year. It’s very different, so it’s probably a good idea to go ahead and get used to it before they switch everybody’s over.
Here’s how you can start using new Blogger:
Go to your dashboard, scroll all the way to the bottom and in the bottom menu that says Tools and Resources click Blogger in Draft. If you want to continue using draft click the make Blogger in draft my default box on the top right of your screen.
I really like the new blogger, but it does take some getting used to.
Another newish feature on Blogger is mobile templates. They aren’t exactly pretty but I love them! You know why? Because it makes procrastinating at work even easier! They load so fast and it makes commenting so much easier. I highly suggest setting it up. Even if you don’t have web browsing on your phone. It’s only going to help with traffic, comments etc…and it’s super easy.
Here’s how to set up mobile templates:
Go to Settings on your dashboard, then publishing Email & Mobile click Show Mobile Template and then save. You are done!
I just noticed this morning with the new interface you can also customize your mobile template somewhat. Go to your dashboard-template and click the little gear button on top of the mobile preview. Pick a new template and save. I hope that soon they will let us at least customize the colors. I would like to match it to my design…

I am just getting used to the new look of Blogger. My template comes up on a mobile phone just like it does on a desktop or laptop. That seemed to happen automatically so I hope you can get yours to do the same.

I was wondering about the blogger in draft. I'm still very confused, but I guess I can ask you if/when I do 'switch'. I LOVE that they made a mobile feature. I can now read blogs on my phone and not have to wait 20 minutes (yeah, I'm exaggerating) for it to load.

I don't really know what blogger in draft is. Mine is still regular I am guessing
I am just now figuring out all the buttons on this one. LOL
