Once Upon a Read-a-Thon Final Update

Books read:
I didn’t read as much today either, because I had to work and also I wrote some reviews. I’m fine with that because they needed to be done desperately. I did finish The Folk Keeper, finally and I read The Time Traveling Fansionista, which was super cute. Since I’m working this evening and I feel that I have read enough I think that will be it for me. That puts my final count at 6 books. That’s what I was hoping for so I’m happy!

How many did you read!?

Challenges for today can be found here:
Nikki wants us to play match maker and hook two characters from different books up. I have thought long and hard about this and my couple would be:

Silla from Blood Magic by Tessa Gratton and James from the Books of Faerie series by Maggie Stiefvater. The more I think about this match the more perfect it seems to me. Can’t you imagine poor broken Silla with angsty broken James. They would make each other happy I think. Even though I like Silla with Nick, of course!

Ashley at Books from Bleh to Basically Amazing is asking for recommendations!
Because I’m such a fan of book recommendations, I want you to recommend books to me. I want you to recommend 2 books to me.

The first is any book of your choice. Pick any book you want and tell me and the world why it should be read and loved.

The second is what you would pick as your favorite of the read-a-thon. You can chose to answer this question now, during the third day, or I’ll give you one extra day to give that book just waiting to be picked up a chance. :)

My recommendations are:
#1 Please Ignore Vera Dietz by A.S. King
This book is like nothing you have ever read before. I guarantee it! It’s incredible, bizarre, and completely captivating.

#2 The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
This is one of the most honest books I have ever read. I think it left me with a different outlook on the world.

Don’t forget the read-a-thon still lasts until Midnight so keep us updated about your progress on your blogs and Twitter!! Hash tag on Twitter is: #OUreadathon

    Awesome chick!

6 book is a ton! That's fantastic AND you squeezed some reviews in. I have to write my reviews soon after I finish a book or I forget all the great things I wanted to say about it.

Thanks for participating in the challenge too, Lori. I like the sound of your match, what with both character's angsty natures, but I haven't read either books :(

The Perks of Being a Wallflower really does make the reader look at things differently. It wasn't one of my most favorite books, but it has some truly great and sincere moments.

I remember reading your Vera Dietz review ages ago and thinking OMG I HAVE TO READ THIS. Gahh too many books, so little time! I will read that one SOON though!
