Tips & Tricks has been on hiatus for awhile, but I am back with a very easy and very helpful tip! Most of us bloggers have a Feedburner and a Twitter account, right? I’m going to assume you do for the sake of this post. I’m sure you tweet about your new posts too, right? Well why not let Feedburner do it for you? That’s right, Feedburner can automatically Tweet your post links! Here’s how:
- Go to your Feedburner account.
- Click the Publicize tab at the top.
- Click Socialize on the left menu.
- Add your Twitter account and set up your posting options.
- Done.
Now you might be saying “But Lori I use NetworkedBlogs for this.” I have a lot of opinions about sites like Networked Blogs and none of them are good, because whenever a reader clicks through from Twitter or Facebook using NetworkedBlogs you are not getting that visit. They are. In essence sites like Digg, NetworkedBlogs, and Blog Catalog are stealing your pageviews unless the reader clicks the Close button on the iframe that pops up when clicking through those links. Most readers don’t do that. Here’s a post that gets a little more in depth about it and gives you some other alternatives.
I hope that helps you out!

That sounds great but I am completely in the dark about feedburner. Just when I think I am starting to catch up with the technological world something else comes along I am unaware of. Sheesh, will I ever catch up.
Good info, thanks! I'm such a n00b when it comes to building/maintaining my website. Luckily I have a friend whom I bribe with yummy food to help me update!
Smiles!
Lori
I've used twitterfeed but it's been acting kind of wonky lately so I think I'll give feed burner a try.
