Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the awesome people at The Broke and the Bookish
This week’s topic is books that I would play hooky with. Thankfully, I have a really fantastic job. I only work about 3 to 4 hours 4 days a week. So…I can’t really justify missing work for much. Plus, I can sometimes sneak some reading in while there…shhh. But here are some books that I’m dying for and some that I contemplated missing work over.
1. Requiem by Lauren Oliver
How am I possibly going to wait for this book? I will be reading it before I even close the mailbox or exit the bookstore.
2. The Evolution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin
I will drop EVERYTHING to read this book. Everything!
3. J.K. Rowling’s mystery book
This is a no-brainer, right?
4. A new Suzanne Collins book
I was off the day Mockingjay came out, but if I wouldn’t have been then I just might have played hooky and I maybe would for a new book from her.
5. Bitterblue by Kristin Cashore
I want to devour this book as soon as it’s in my hands.
6. The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater
I’m super, super excited for this book! I always love Maggie’s books beyond belief.
7. The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
This is the most recent book that made me think ‘Man, I wish I didn’t have to go to work….hmmm maybe I could call in…’ I didn’t. But I wanted to.
8. Ask the Passengers by A.S. King
I really can’t wait to read this!
9. Something new from Stephenie Myer/Breaking Dawn
So…I had a different job when BD was released and I did actually request the day off two months ahead of time….Too bad that it was a bit of a disappointment but BD is the only book that I can I missed work over.
10. Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins
Stephanie’s books are the kind you have to devour in a few hours because the are unputdownable. I would definitely miss work over Isla.
