Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the awesome people at The Broke and the Bookish
This week’s topic is top ten books to read in a day! I adore books that I can read in a day.
1. Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist by David Levithan & Rachel Cohn
I could probably list every one of David Levithan’s books but I’m going to limit myself to one. This is probably one of his longer books but I still read it in one sitting. It’s so awesome, but so are all of his others.
2. Lisa Schroeder’s books
3. Ellen Hopkins’ books
These are also obvious choices.
4. The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
I read this last year for a read-a-thon and it was so amazing.
5. Living Dead Girl by Elizabeth Scott
This is hands down one of the most gripping books I have ever read. The writing is very sparse and the story is disturbing. This is really an amazingly powerful book.
6. Hold Still by Nina LaCour
This book is so heartbreaking but addicting. I loved every word in it.
7. Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson
I read this at least once a month through 6th and 7th grade…and maybe 8th too.I can fly through it and it’s just as good every time.
8. How I Live Now by Meg Rosoff
This is a very different book, but it’s so compelling from page 1.
9. Audrey, Wait! by Robin Benway
I DEVOURED this book in one sitting. It is the epitome of a fast, FUN read. I love it so.
10. Wake by Lisa McMann
Once you start this book there is absolutely no putting it down until the very end. Then you will just pick Fade right up afterward…and the Gone…and then you will be sad.
