Once Upon a Read-a-Thon Sign Up!

It’s time to sign up for the second annual Once Upon a Readathon! This Readathon is hosted by Angela at Reading Angel, Candace at Candace’s Book Blog and myself. It runs from 12:01 am on July 9th to 11:59 on July 11th.

What is a Readathon?

A Readathon is where you set a goal for yourself to read more books that is beyond your average number of books you read. There is no minimum, it’s all up to you, and you can read any book that suits your fancy! Push yourself to get some of those books read that have been sitting on your shelves for awhile!

What you do:

To participate in the Once Upon a Readathon enter your name into the linky. Then, from 12:01 am on July 9th to 11:59 pm on July 11th you read, read, and read some more! Make sure you do at least one update post (if you don’t have a blog you may do this on facebook and/or twitter) and participate in at least one challenge. Be sure to grab the button for your sidebar too! (Grab it on the sidebar!)

What you get:

Angela, Candace, and I will be giving away a $60 Amazon giftcard (or TBD if you’re international). The winner will be picked at random from the participants list. We will also be having a couple of mini challenges each day and there will be some sort of giveaway with those. To win anything you must participate in the read-a-thon. You must post at least one update on your blog (or Facebook or Goodreads if you don’t have a blog) and you must complete at least one mini challenge.

Are you excited now?! Yes? Well add your info to the linky so we can visit you during the readathon!
The linky is the same on all of our blogs, so you only have to fill it out once!

  1. I have always wanted to do a read-a-thon! They sound like so much fun. With three kids home, I’m not sure I can pull it off though. lol!

  2. What Christy said! Also, I think I may be helping out at summer camp that week :-( BOO. I’d so much rather participate! But the camp thing isn’t set in stone yet, so if I end up staying home, I’ll try to play along!

Good luck everyone! I can’t participate in readathons myself as I don’t have the patience!

  4. Good luck to all participants!

I will be enduring two whole weeks of family reunions during that time so, as much as I’d like to getaway from pinching cheeks and “When are you guys getting married?” questions to read, I’m obligated for some “good, quality family time”. : ) Just kidding, love the family.

    Need cheerleaders? I’m there!

  11. I wasn’t planning on participating because i have some plans on those days but i REALLY want to join in.  I did a weeks long read-a-thon recently and managed fine.  I am sooooo tempted lol.  I think i may get a post put together tomorrow and if i get chance then i will join but 2 or 3 books maybe my max with hosp appts, my medical problems and kids to look after.  I love all the ppl you ‘meet’ during a read-a-thon, not sure whether i would get time to do much chatting and ‘networking’ with such a short space of time and soo many bks to read lol xx
