Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the awesome people at The Broke and the Bookish
This week’s topic is: Top Ten Books You’d Like To See Made Into A Movie
1. Outlander by Diana Gabaldon
I would really rather see this as a HBO show or something…wouldn’t that be AMAZING!?
2. Delirium by Lauren Oliver
I think this could be done really well and I would love to see it on the big screen.
3. Ashes by Ilsa J. Bick
This would be so creepy, intense, and awesome on the big screen!
4. Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour by Morgan Matson
This would be so good!
5. The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
I know that it’s in the works. I really hope it actually gets made. It would be so heartbreaking and incredible.
6. White Cat by Holly Black
I think this could be fabulous in the right hands.
7. The Book of Blood and Shadow by Robin Wasserman
OMG! I loved this book. It’s so full of twists and turns. It would make a great movie.
8. The Night Circus by Erin Morganstern
In the right hands this could be one very amazing movie.
9. Audrey, Wait! by Robin Benway
Wouldn’t this be so fun! Emma Stone could be Audrey…it would be great.
10. The Giver by Lois Lowery
Jeff Bridges wants to make this movie and I want him to.
There are a few books I love that have been optioned for movies but I didn’t list them because I don’t think they could be done right. (Shiver, Vampire Academy, Wake…) What do you think?

Eeepppp!!! I’ve got Audrey, Wait! and The Fault In Out Stars too! Awesome list!

Ahh I so badly want to read “The Book of Blood and Shadow”!!!
I am surprised they still have not made a movie of “The Giver”. I remember when I was twelve (I am almost 19 now) my teacher saying that The Giver movie was suppose to come out that year. However it never did!!
Those are interesting picks! And YES for Outlander – why the heck isn’t it already a movie??? I want to see Jamie! Ashes would be scary as hell but awesome – loved this book sooo much!

OMG how did I forget the Curse Workers series!!! That would be fantastic if it was done well!! I still have to read Black Heart. I got it the day it came out, but alas, too many review books are waiting for me. The Giver would be awesome too. I have dropped everything today to read Insurgent though. And next Tuesday nothing can stop me from reading City of Lost Souls. Some books just need to be priority lol!!

I’ve heard so many great things about Outlander, I know I must read it.
The same goes for The Night Circus, and you’re so right, the film always has to be in the right hands to pull off transforming a book into a movie.

Ahh Night Circus would be such a gorgeous film! And ack I forgot Amy & Roger! Who doesn’t love a road trip book AND a road trip movie?!

OH YES THE NIGHT CIRCUS. I want it to be perfectly done, though, with Martin Scorsese or Tim Burton on board and a perfect casting of Marco and Celia.
I haven’t read Outlander yet but will be in June & July in a readalong so I just KNOW that once I’m done with it I’ll want an Outlander movie too.
And Jeff Daniels in the The Giver makes me jump up and down. At first I wasn’t so sure, but I am more and more excited about it the more I think about it. Great list.

I would be ALL OVER seeing Delirium. Yes, most definitely, yes. Haven’t read Amy & Roger yet, but definitely plan to soon. From what I’ve heard that’s also a phenomenal choice!

I haven’t read a few on your list, but the ones I have- agree with them all! I think Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour and Audrey, Wait! could be so much fun to see on screen. And Delirium- if that was done well, it could be huge. Thanks for stopping by my top ten

Delirium has already been optioned by Fox 2000, I’m really excited for it! (http://hollywoodcrush.mtv.com/2011/02/25/delirium-movie-casting-lena/) Other books that have been optioned already that I’m excited for: Thirteen Reasons Why, Ender’s Game, Marked, Matched, Unwind, Wings (YAY!), and Uglies. Oh and I just read The Selection so I’m really excited to see how that turns out as a TV show next fall. So many YA books are getting optioned these days…I know they won’t all become films, but it’s really exciting to see Hollywood paying so much attention to YA lit.

I disagree with TFIOS. Mainly because it can’t possibly be as good as the book.

I LOVED The Fault in Our Stars (one of my favorite reads this year). But could I handle seeing it on the big screen?! I don’t know! But honestly, I don’t think I could stay away if they did make into a movie
I selected The Night Circus as well. I really would love to see this one on the big screen. I haven’t had a chance to read The Fault in Our Stars yet but I am hoping to soon.
Jeff Bridges wants to make The giver into a movie?! That’s such good news! I had Amy and Roger’s Epic Detour on my list too and I can’t believe I forgot Delirium!!!

It’s really terrible that I haven’t read any of these. But I do own several so hopefully soon! I have to say I would love to see Delerium and Amy and Rodgers Epic Detour as a movie tho!

The Night Circus is appearing on a lot of lists, including mine
I think it will make for a great movie, at least from a visual effects perspective. I’d love to see an Outlander movie, but my desire to see it would all depend on who was cast to play Jamie.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
I think HBO would do a great job with an adaptation like Outlander. I’d love to see Delirium too!
Bree recently posted..Redwood Bend – Robyn Carr
Wow…I’ve only read two of these…Delerium and White Cat…and I couldn’t agree more about those! I’ve had about half of the rest sitting on my shelf for way too long…
Melissa recently posted..Release Day Party & Giveaway: Unicorn Keep
Great list! I’ve seen The Night Circus on a few lists so far — I really must read that book soon! And I totally agree with TFiOS — it would be a Notebook-esque sobfest and therefore excellent

Emma Stone as Audrey in Audrey, Wait!? YES. That’s brilliant right there.
I actually haven’t read any of these, though Delirium and White Cat are on my list. I think HBO/Showtime would be great options for a lot of books, actually. Unfortunately I don’t know that many YA books would hit their general audience. Le sigh.
The movie ‘Equilibrium’ has a similar storyline to The Giver
and i would LOVE to see The Night Circus made into a movie!
