Cover changes happen. I’ve come to terms with that. Sometimes I don’t always understand them but I assume that the publishing industry knows a lot more than me. That doesn’t mean I can’t have an opinion and a preference. So I want to point out some of the cover changes I adore…and the ones I do not. Whether it be repackaging or new covers for paperback. Feel free to state your opinion as well. This is Part 4 of what is turning out to be a very ongoing post. (There’s just so many changes) Click for Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3.
This edition of Cover Changes is all mostly changes that I like!
An Abundance of Katerines by John Green
I like all of these. I really do. I haven’t read the book yet..It’s the only John Green book I haven’t gotten to yet. For those of you that have read it, do you have a preference on the cover?
Sean Griswold’s Head by Lindsay Leavitt
I’m so torn with this one! On the one hand I love the fun-ness of the original cover, but the book does have a serious side and I think the new cover captures that well. I really adore them both. Maybe the paperback cover will grab a new audience since it looks a bit older.
Moonglass by Jessi Kirby
Sigh…They’re both so pretty and they represent the story well. I can’t pick. Well…maybe I love the new one just a tiny bit more.
Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi
I never loved the hardback cover but I kind of love the new cover. I’m not sure that it fits the book but it’s very pretty and unique. I really adore the colors. But…I think the new covers are much too similar. It’s almost hard to tell Shatter Me and the sequel apart. What do you think?
