Top Ten Realistic Romances

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the awesome people at The Broke and the Bookish

This week’s topic is: (In honor of Jamie’s wedding this week on the 17th) — Top Ten Book Romances That You Think Would Make It In The Real World (outside the book)

1. Jessica and Marcus from Sloppy Firsts

Those kids. They would make it.

2. Lola and Cricket from Lola and the Boy Next Door

They had been in loooove forever! Of course they would make it in the real world.

3. Lena and Alex from Delirium

The entire future of love depends on these two.

4. Grace and Sam from Shiver

These two….sigh..

5. Mara and Noah from The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer

They were made for each other! Plus, I don’t think anyone else would understand their very unique…problems.

6. Clara and Tucker from Unearthly

Team Tucker!

7. Amy and Roger from Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour

Their story was so realistic and sweet. I’d love to think that that could easily happen in real life.

8. Mia and Adam from If I Stay

I love, love, love Mia and Adam. The love they have for each other is incredible.

9. Meg and John After from Going Too Far

They might not be conventional but I think they would work!

10. Francesca and Will from Saving Francesca

These two made me feel all warm and fuzzy. Plus, it’s played out in a very realistic way.

Comments

  1. I have Shiver and If I Stay sitting on my shelves just WAITING to be read.  I need more hours in my days! And you’ve got a few others on here that are on my TBR. I debated Lena and Alex, but ultimately they didn’t make my cut. This week was a lot more fun than I was originally anticipating. Great list!

  22. Aww, SUCH a cute way to write this post. :) Love your graphics. I adore practically every couple on this list. And if I don’t — it’s simply because I haven’t met them yet. i.e: read the book yet. Yay for all these books! Makes me want to go back & do a lot of re-reading!

  25. Ooooh your choices!!

Definitely a fan of Lena/Alex, and I think because their feelings are so truthful and honest in the end they would work out.

And I really just adore your choices from 5 onwards. I actually didn’t think much of the romance between Will & Francesca during that book, but because it’s MM it just feels so real. I especially enjoyed seeing those two together in The Piper’s Son… it definitely made them feel more real to see it from a different perspective.

  26. So far, I’ve only read Delirium/Pandemonium and Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour from your list (Amy & Roger TOTALLY made my list). I really really hope good things are in store for Lena & Alex…but I’m worried! Great list. :)

  31. Francesca and Will made me feel warm and fuzzy too. I’d love to see if he complied to her wishes and sent her long and lovely letters… I adored this book for so many years. I can’t believe I didn’t think of it. I’m really glad to see it on your list.

I also love – but didn’t mention – Jessica and Marcus. I think they’re a couple that may have had a few breaks from each other but in the end they always find their way back to each other.

    Great list!!
