By now I’m sure you guys have heard me gush about my love for The Girl of Fire and Thorns and The Crown of Embers by Rae Carson. They are incredible! I’m delighted to have Rae Carson on the blog once again for a fun game of This or That.
Coffee or Tea
I’m a fan of both. But in the morning, when I’m stumbling through the kitchen all bleary-eyed, it’s COFFEE OR DEATH.
Dog or Cat
Cat! I love dogs too, but they’re clingy and co-dependent. A cat is all, “This relationship is on my terms, yo, and you can be with me if you’re lucky.” I wish more young women adopted The Cattitude for relationships.
Football or Cheerleading
Football. My days of being on the sidelines watching other people make stuff happen are so over.
Vampire or Werewolf
Werewolf, because wolves are rad. I used to have one. His name was Dakota, and he was awesome. Here is a pic. I’m the one with hoop earrings. I’ll have you know that I was an exemplar of high fashion back in the day. An EXEMPLAR, I tell you.
Aragorn or Legolas
Aragorn is hot, but I have some concerns about his personal hygiene. So I have to go with Legolas.
Zombie or Unicorn
Unicorns disturb me deeply. I suspect they are not as full of puppies and sunshiny rainbows as most people think.
Night or Day
Night. All my best writing happens at night.
Hufflepuff or Slytherin
Slytherin. I’ve always wanted to be a super villain, and I think Slytherin would provide the best experience and training.
I agree with just about everything…except Team Unicorn! Thanks so much to Rae Carson for answering my silly This or That questions!
For more info on Rae and The Crown of Embers:

Great post, though I have to say I am a dog person. I am deathly allergic to cats. I really want one of those hairless ones though. They are ugly as sin, but I think it would be an awesome pet!! I totally agree with the unicorn thing too. Nothing can be that perfect and magical. (except Harry Potter… okay, see there’s my point. He has flaws too.) At least with Zombies you know what you are getting. A crazed, brain hungry, undead person that is going to eat you.

I’m not a cat person, but God I wish someone had given me some cattitude, as described by Rae above, when I was a young woman with a crush many moons ago. I really, really could have used it.
Cannot WAIT for Embers. CANNOT. WAIT.

LOLOL…I need to develop more of a cattitude! And I’d have to disagree…a little bit of personal hygiene issues would be worth it for Aragorn!

Choosing between Aragorn and Legolas is a choice that should never have to be made

I am a dog person through and through. But! I have to agree – us girls need a little cattitude every now and again. The wolf is crazy cool and Rae’s answers were amazing despite our few differences! ; ) Coffee makes my heart smile.
