Cover changes happen. I’ve come to terms with that. Sometimes I don’t always understand them but I assume that the publishing industry knows a lot more than me. That doesn’t mean I can’t have an opinion and a preference. So I want to point out some of the cover changes I adore…and the ones I do not. Whether it be repackaging or new covers for paperback. Feel free to state your opinion as well. This is Part 8 of what is turning out to be a very ongoing post. (There’s just so many changes) Click for Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, Part 6, and the Omnibus edition, and Part 7.
The Future of Us by Jay Asher and Carolyn Mackler
I honestly don’t like either of the covers. I didn’t like the book either so that seems fitting.
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
They are both so similar that I really don’t have a preference. I really love all the designs on the inside more than anything.
Gilt by Kathrine Longshore
I haven’t read this so I don’t have an informed opinion, but between the BIG face (what’s up with the paleness?) and the steamy one, I pick neither.
Infinite Days by Rebecca Maizel
I LOVE the original cover. It’s unique and it caught my eye right away. The new one of okay, but I definitely don’t like it as much.
The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith
I wish they wouldn’t have changed this one. It was perfect to begin with.
The Immortal Rules by Julie Kagawa
Hmm…I don’t like the original that much, but the new one is kind of boring.
What do you guys think?
