Cover changes happen. I’ve come to terms with that. Sometimes I don’t always understand them but I assume that the publishing industry knows a lot more than me. That doesn’t mean I can’t have an opinion and a preference. So I want to point out some of the cover changes I adore…and the ones I do not. Whether it be repackaging or new covers for paperback. Feel free to state your opinion as well. This is Part 10 of what is turning out to be a very ongoing post. (There’s just so many changes) Click for Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, Part 6, and the Omnibus edition, Part 7, Part 8, Part 9, and Part 10.
The Disenchantments by Nina LaCour
This is one of my favorite covers to come out in recent years. I just love it. I would be instantly drawn to it in the bookstore. That being said, I like the new one. It’s really unique, but it doesn’t even compare to the first one for me.
The Catastrophic History of You and Me by Jess Rothenberg
I didn’t like this book very much, but I must say that I like the new cover a lot more!
Perfect Escape by Jennifer Brown
I haven’t read this one yet, but I like the change. The newer one is certainly more girly…
Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein
Guys, the more I look at the new cover the more I love it. I really like the old one, but this new one is just gorgeous!
First Comes Love by Kate Kacvinsky
This is another book that I didn’t care that much for. I don’t like the original cover and the new one seems a little misleading in my opinion. It looks fun and the story was very fun for me.
Just One Day by Gayle Forman
I’m honestly a little indifferent about both of these covers. I like them, but I don’t love them. I wonder if they’re planning to change the sequel cover too?
So what do you guys think of all these changes?
