Blog Tour & Giveaway: The Killing Woods by Lucy Christopher

TheKillingWoods_BannerI read Stolen by Lucy Christopher a couple of years ago and loved it so I couldn’t be happier to be featuring her newest book, The Killing Woods, today.

The Killing Woods by Lucy ChristopherAbout the book:

“A gripping, heartbreaking, emotionally substantial look at [the] allure of danger.” – Kirkus Reviews, starred review

Fatal attraction, primal fear, survival in the forest: From the author of the Printz Honor Book STOLEN, the highly anticipated thriller about deadly games played in the dark.

Ashlee Parker is dead, and Emily Shepherd’s dad is accused of the crime. A former soldier suffering from PTSD, he emerges from the woods carrying the girl’s broken body. “Gone,” he says, then retreats into silence.

What really happened that wild night? Emily knows in her bones that her father is innocent — isn’t he? Before he’s convicted, she’s got to find out the truth. Does Damon Hilary, Ashlee’s charismatic boyfriend, have the answers? Or is he only playing games with her — the kinds of games that can kill?

Who Killed Ashlee Parker?

A blog tour in support of The Killing Woods by Lucy Christopher featuring brief bios of the main characters, including who they are, their relation to Ashlee, and their possible motive to kill her as well as a descriptive quote from the book

“I need to call Mack — he has to tell me what’s true, what he’s hiding. My throat goes tight as I think of his shaking hand around the skinning knife. The twitch in his eyes.”

Mack Jenkins is Damon’s best friend. He‘s desperate to get into the army after he leaves school, planning on enlisting along with Damon. Mack considers the game they play in the woods a form of training, and he’s one of its main instigators. But he was never big on Damon bringing Ashlee into it. It’s a boy’s game, as far as Mack’s concerned, and girls shouldn’t be a part of it. Just how did Mack play with Ashlee that night?

I’m hooked! I must know the rest of the story asap! If you’re just as hooked as me follow the tour to The Compulsive Reader to find out more. Be sure to visit The Killing Woods site as well!
