Cover changes happen. I’ve come to terms with that. Sometimes I don’t always understand them but I assume that the publishing industry knows a lot more than me. That doesn’t mean I can’t have an opinion and a preference. So I want to point out some of the cover changes I adore…and the ones I do not. Whether it be repackaging or new covers for paperback. Feel free to state your opinion as well. This is Part 10 of what is turning out to be a very ongoing post. (There’s just so many changes) Click for Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, Part 6, and the Omnibus edition, Part 7, Part 8, Part 9, Part 10, Part 11, and Part 12.
Red by Alison Cherry
I’m really not a huge fan of either one, but I think I do prefer the original version.
The Diviners by Libba Bray
I didn’t like the cover to begin with, but after I read (and fell in love with) the book it grew on me. Now I love it! I don’t like the new cover. It looks like every other book out there.
Let the Sky Fall by Shannon Messenger
A very small change, but I noticed it instantly. I like both of them, honestly.
Blood Red Road by Moira Young
I don’t really care for either, but the new one is an improvement.
The Karma Club by Jessica Brody
The new one looks like the cover of a yoga DVD…I don’t like it.
Extraordinary by Nancy Werlin
I would like the new cover if the first one wasn’t so gorgeous. It might be one of my favorite covers ever.
So what do you guys think of all these changes?
