Cover changes happen. I’ve come to terms with that. Sometimes I don’t always understand them but I assume that the publishing industry knows a lot more than me. That doesn’t mean I can’t have an opinion and a preference. So I want to point out some of the cover changes I adore…and the ones I do not. Whether it be repackaging or new covers for paperback. Feel free to state your opinion as well. This is Part 10 of what is turning out to be a very ongoing post. (There’s just so many changes) Click for Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, Part 6, and the Omnibus edition, Part 7, Part 8, Part 9, Part 10, Part 11, Part 12, and Part 13.
Unspoken by Sarah Reese Brennan
I like the new cover! I haven’t read the book, though. So I don’t know how informed my opinion is. I don’t love the cartoony-ness of the original cover.
Choker by Elizabeth Woods
I didn’t like this book, but I did like the cover. The new one is fine, too. It might be more eye catching but it isn’t very unique. I do like the font used on the new one.
Forever by Judy Blume
I haven’t read this…I know, I need to. Anyway, I adore that new cover. It’s gorgeous and caught my eye so quick in the bookstore.
How to Love by Katie Catugno
I loooove this original cover! So pretty! So different. The new one is nice but it kinda looks like every other YA contemp out there.
Out of the Easy by Ruta Sepetys
I’m okay with both of these. They’re both pretty. They both fit the book. The new one looks more like an adult cover, don’t you think?
Perfect Chemistry series by Simone Elkeles
I’m a pretty big fan of this series. I’ve never had a problem with the original covers. They aren’t my favorite but they fit the books well. I ADORE these new cover! Adore! They are sweeter looking and I think that will get the series a whole new group of fans.
So what do you guys think of all these changes?
