Rowan is turning 1 on Saturday! I can’t believe it! This year has went by so fast! His party is on his birthday and we’re doing a Where the Wild Things Are theme, but I will post more on that in my December recap. I included their Halloween pictures because I didn’t get a chance to post them in my October recap. Rowan is walking full time these days and saying a few words. Finn is crazy excited about Christmas and Santa. We put up our tree last weekend and now he just wants to sit and look at it. It’s so cute.
Those were the highlights of November, because other than that it was a pretty horrible month. There were way too many heartbreaking and tragic things. The election put me in a funk that I haven’t been able to fully kick. I’m still just as sad and scared as I was on November 9th. Then our entire town was blanketed in smoke from wildfires all month. The fires in Gatlinburg this week broke my heart. Gatlinburg is like a second home to me. The news coming out of there has been so very sad. Then Tuesday, after months and months of no rain we had very severe weather. There was a tornado just a few miles from my house. An old friend and her husband were killed. I hadn’t really spoken to her in years, but we were very close at one time. My heart is just broken for her and her family. Guys, buy weather radios! Please. Even if tornadoes don’t happen often where you live, you just never know.
So, here’s hoping to a better December. We’re going to kick it off with Rowan’s birthday this weekend and then my mom’s, my sister’s and my birthdays will follow. Oh, and December 16th is also my 8th Blogversary! So expect some celebratory giveaways this month.
I hope your November was wonderful. Link up to your recaps so I can visit!
