Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the awesome people at The Broke and the Bookish
This week’s topic is: Top Ten New-To-Me Authors I Read For The First Time In 2016
I’m breaking this post into the last 2 years because I don’t really read enough to have 10 new to me authors a year AND because I had this post drafted last year but had a baby before I could finish it. 🙂 So here it is…a year later.
The Way I Used to Be completely knocked my socks off when I read it late last year. I feel like it hasn’t gotten nearly enough buzz. Read it!
Oh how I loved Dumplin’! I just saw that there’s going to be a sequel!! Yay!!
Everything, Everything blew me away. It was so addicting and just lovely. I still can’t believe it was a debut.
I loved Half Bad so much. I adore witch books in general but it was so unique. I have yet to read the rest of the series! Oops!
For the Record was such a fun debut. It’s another one that I think didn’t get enough attention. If you like books with music then I recommend it.
I’ve said it a bunch, but WHY did I wait so long to read An Ember in the Ashes. It’s very high on my favorite of 2016 list.
Exit, Pursued by a Bear was a very thought provoking read. I look forward to reading more by this author.
I had a lot of fun listening to Keep Me Posted on audio.
All the Bright Places completely broke my heart, but I loved it.
The Female of the Species was like nothing I’ve ever read before. I’m really excited to read more books by Mindy now.
