Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the awesome people at The Broke and the Bookish
This week’s topic is: Ten Books I Thought I’d Like More Than I Did
I should’ve just titled this post UNPOPULAR OPINION. Especially with these first 5 or so. Most of the links go to my reviews, where I explain why I didn’t like the books in more detail.
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
I know. I KNOW! Everyone loves this….but I kind of hated it. It was so boring for me. Everyone keeps saying I should read book 2, but I honestly have zero interest.
The Serpent King by Jeff Zentener
I wasn’t a fan of this one either. There was no plot and it was full of southern stereotypes that just pissed me off. I DNF it.
Me Before You by Jojo Moyes
I actually really enjoyed this book up until the end. The end ruined everything for me. I HATED IT!
Carry On by Rainbow Rowell
I’ve mentioned that I DNF this book a few time before. I love Rainbow’s books, but this one was just moving too slow for me.
Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas
I thought this book was okay. I loved the first book, but I thought this one dragged. The things I was super interested in weren’t the focus of the story. I don’t have any desire to continue the (long) series. Especially since it seems to get very romance focused in later books.
Replica by Lauren Oliver
The premise of this sounded so good…I thought it was only okay.
Look Both Ways by Alison Cherry
I did not like this book. At all.
The Secret of a Heart Note by Stacy Lee
This had so much potential but I didn’t like it as much as I wanted to.
This is Where it Ends by Marieke Nijkamp
This is another book that everyone seem to love but me.
Beast by Brie Spagler
I hated the MC so much that it was impossible to like the book.
Do you love any of these books? Do you think I’m crazy for not loving them?
