Top Ten Books on My Spring 2017 TBR

Top-Ten-Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the awesome people at The Broke and the Bookish

This week’s topic is: Top Ten Books on My Spring 2017 TBR

I have about a billion review books for May & June. Oops! I couldn’t even fit them all on this list, which is fitting because I probably won’t be able to fit reading them all in April, May, and June. I’m excited about every single one though! I’ve been reading a lot of fantasy, so I’m really anxious to read all these contemporaries.

The Upside of Unrequited by Becky AlbertalliGirl Out of Water by Laura SilvermanWhen Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya MenonThe Black Witch by Laurie ForestWindfall-by-Jennifer-E.-Smith

The Upside to Unrequited by Becky Albertalli
This is going to be my next read! I almost didn’t include it because of that, but I had to because I’m so excited about it.

Girl Out of Water by Laura Silverman
This sounds so good!

When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandya Menon
I’ve been hearing amazing things about this already. It’s been so long since I read a sweet love story. I can’t wait!

The Black Witch by Laurie Forest
I love witches! I hope this is as good as I want it to be.

Windfall by Jennifer E. Smith
I’ve only ever read one of Jennifer’s books. I liked it a lot. I’m anxious to read more.

Grit by Gillian FrenchWords in Deep Blue by Cath CrowleyIn-a-Perfect-World-by-Trish-DollerFlame in the Mist by Renee AhdiehI Believe in a Thing Called Love by Maurene Goo

Grit by Gillian French
This sounds like a tough book. I love tough books!

Words in Deep Blue by Cath Crowley
This sounds like it’s going to be fantastic!

In a Perfect World by Trish Doller
I’m a huge fan of Trish Doller’s books. I can’t wait to read this!

The Flame in the Mist by Renee Ahdieh
I’m super excited for something new from Renee!

I Believe in a Thing Called Love by Maureen Goo
This looks so cute! I’ve heard great things about it already too.

Extras:

Those are all review books. I’m swamped! So I’m going to add a few non review books I really want to read below. I might fit them in or take a break and read.

A-Darker-Shade-of-Magic-by-V.E.-SchwabLove & Gelato by Jenna Evans WelchTo All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny HanSome Kind of Happiness by Claire LegrandFirsts by Laurie Elizabeth Flynn

A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab
Love & Gelato by Jenna Evans Welch
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han
Some Kind of Happiness by Claire Legrand
Firsts by Laurie Elizabeth Flynn

Has anyone listened to ADSoM, Love & Gelato, or To All the Boys on audio? How were they?

I’ve been reading more contemps lately, which is kind of new for me, but I’ve been liking it. There’s so much good stuff coming out. The Upside of Unrequited looks great, and I’m thinking about Grit. I liked Love and Gelato a lot. 🙂

Flame in the Mist is also on my list and I am looking forward to reading When Dimple Met Rishi too. It’s fantastic to see more Indian teen fiction on the market. Wish it was there when I was a teen.

I Believe in a Thing Called Love sounds cute and I will have to look for that Trish Doller book. I’ve only read one of hers but I liked it.

I liked Love & Gelato and To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. I hope you enjoy them and the other books on your list this spring.

When Dimple Met Rishi is amazing. I’m so excited to see other readers look forward to it. 🙂 Girl Out of Water is on my list too and I can’t wait to read it. I was able to read Words in Deep Blue last year and it really is an exceptional book. Those Australian authors sure know what they are writing. They always write their books with so much emotions and feelings. I love it! I hope you enjoy all of these! 🙂

Yes, The Upside of Unrequited is on my list as well! And you need to read ADSOM. Flame in the mist is one I am doubting on pre ordering at the moment. I initially had the Black Witch on my radar as well but I’ve recently been hearing some negative things about it regarding racism so I scrapped that.

  16. Cassi @ My Thoughts Literally says

So many exciting books here. The Upside of Unrequited made my list and Flame in the Mist and The Black Witch are definitely in my TBR.

Also, I’ve listened to the audio for ADSOM and To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. ADSOM is terrible. Definitely read it. They recast the narrator after the first book and they’re so much better, the first narrator was real bad. But To All the Boys was good. I listened to that and P.S. I Still Love You recently and really liked them both.

I want to read SO MANY of these!! Windfall, The Upside of Unrequited and When Dimple Met Rishi being my most awaited ones. I’ve recently read A Darkest Shade of magic, and it was REALLY good… the sequel disappointed me, though, and I don’t think I’ll pick up the third book. 🙁 I’M SURE YOU’LL LOVE IT, THOUGH. Welcome to Pure Imagination! I started this blog in 2008 because I desperately needed somewhere to talk about books with people that love them as much as I do. Since then I've become a Mom to two incredible, rambunctious little boys, Finn and Rowan. They keep me busy, but I do try to squeeze in reading and blogging when I can. Take a look around the blog! I hope you find some new books to love.

I'm Lori! I've been gushing about books here on Pure Imagination since 2008. I've been married for almost 10 years to a wonderful guy who puts up with my book hoarding. We have two incredible little boys, Finn and Rowan. We also have 6 cat roommates. They're in charge!
