Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the awesome people at The Broke and the Bookish
This week’s topic is: Ten Things On Our Reading Wishlist
A Nikolai series
I need more Nikolai in my life. Need. The last I heard Leigh Bardugo didn’t say she was writing it, but she also didn’t say that she wasn’t planning to. I so so soooo hope she does eventually. I also wouldn’t mind a prequel about the Darkling, but the Nikolai book/series is number one.
More Fantasy from Melina Marchetta
Finnikin of the Rock remains one of my top favorite YA series ever. It was just incredible. I would absolutely love more fantasy books from Marchetta.
Why isn’t there more books set at summer camps?! The possibilities for plots and romances are endless.
Books set in the 60’s & 70’s
I understand that it’s probably hard to capture this era in YA, but I’m sure it can be done! Three Day Summer pulled this off really well.
All the Sweet Fun Summer Contemporaries
This isn’t that hard to come by but I’ll take all of them I can get!
More Books from Authors I Haven’t Heard from in Awhile
I would love some more books by Hannah Harrington, Laura Buzo, Rachel Hartman and more! I do think Laura Buzo has another book besides that one, but it isn’t out in the US?
More Connected/Interwoven Books
I love when an author connects their books somehow. Like how Sarah Dessen’s are usually set in the same town and Becky Albertalli’s are about characters that know each other or are connected in some way. I love getting glimpses of characters or settings I loved in past books.
More Boarding Schools
I want more boarding schools! Especially outside of the fantasy/paranormal genre.
There’s been a big explosion of awesomely diverse books. Keep the coming!
