Series: I Don't Want to Be a Frog
Young Frog learns an unexpected lesson about how NOT to be bored.
Frog is bored. He can’t find ANYTHING to do–even when his animal friends make good suggestions, like sleeping all day, licking between his toes, or hopping around and then staring off into space. Will he find a fun and exciting way to spend his day?
My 4 year old has picked up the word boring lately. He’s been using it a lot even though he never ever looks bored to me. There’s Nothing to Do! came along at the perfect time for us. This book teaches a simple lesson in a cute way. We’ve enjoyed reading it so much!
In There’s Nothing to Do!, Frog has one of those days we’ve all experienced. He can’t think of a single interesting thing to do. Frog doesn’t show much enthusiasm in his father’s ideas so he sets out to see what his friends are up to. At first his friends don’t seem to help him much, but in the end Frog comes up with the perfect plan for the next day.
The boys and I enjoyed this book a lot. The illustrations are so fun! Finn always loves seeing toys, especially trucks, in illustrations. There’s a lot to see in this one. I liked the talk bubble format a lot. The dialogue is funny and there’s a lot of room to be silly. This was our first Frog book, but I don’t think it will be our last!
