Here I am, late again! But not as late as last month. December was full of good and really bad. Rowan turned 2 on the 3rd! We didn’t plan anything too big. We just had grandparents over for cake and presents. Then we went an indoor bounce place. The boys had so, so much fun. I couldn’t help but think about all the germs, but I tried to overcome that and just be happy that they were having a good time. Well…Rowan puked first thing the next morning. Thus begun a week of puking. Rowan started Monday morning. I had it by Tuesday evening. Finn got it in the early morning hours of Wednesday. It wasn’t just one of those 24 hours things either. We felt awful for days. Finn finally got off the couch to play on Sunday and then woke up with a fever and some kind of cold virus Monday. OMG! It was never ending. Two solid weeks of sickness. Thankfully Beau never got it, how I do not know and everyone else was feeling better by Christmas.
My birthday was the 19th and my husband and I had a nice day out. We had a lovely Christmas. The kids had a blast. This was the first year where Rowan really understood what was going on and their excitement was so wonderful to see. We also got a little bit of snow at the beginning of the month. Everyone was still sick then, but we managed to go out and play for a few minutes.
I’m forever behind on blogging. I’ve set a goal for myself though. I will catch up on all reviews by the end of this month. That’s at least 5 reviews. I can do that, right? Right…I bought a lot of books in December….a lot. That’s the most I’ve purchased in one month in years! Between the Black Friday BookOutlet sale and the book sales on Amazon, I couldn’t resist!
Christy at The Reader Bee and I are continuing our Bookstagram challenge. Obviously the January challenge is almost over, but we’ll be posting our February challenge very soon. We’d love it if you’s join us! Keep an eye on my Instagram account.
That’s all for me! How was your December? Did you have a good reading month?
